In the spring of 2002 we purchased three females, built a barn and the alpaca life style has become part of our history. Three years later Dan is retiring from his wholesale contract tree digging business, NASH'S TREESCAPE, Christina just graduated 8th grade and will be attending Stansted College in the fall and Bonnie has accepted a promotion as AHS Field Director for the State of Vermont in Newport.

Dan will take on the full time role as KINGDOM ALPACA's farm manager. Currently we are renovating a "Boy's Barn" and building a fiber art studio. Look for a prototype of our newest venture, ALPACA FELT ART on our website a www.kingdomalpaca.com!

Early on it was suggested we establish a breeding program. We took the advice, did our homework and have been rewarded with some outstanding animals. It was a good thing too because seven of the eight animals born on our farm have been males. If you're going to have males you want the best! Our two 2003 males, LORD FORRESTER and SIR PETREE have making a name for themselves in the show ring and by association promoting KINGDOM ALPACA.

Because we have had a string of male offspring we purchased two quality females to augment our excellent female stable. We purchased COURTESY, a DAKOTIA daughter from MAGICAL FARMS. COURTESY presented us with a striking light fawn male, THE COUNT OF CHRISTO out of PATAGONIA. This young male has outstanding fleece density and character; in addition his coverage and confirmation are just what judges are looking for in male herdsires. COURTESY is bred to MY PERUVIAN BLAKELY. Our second purchase was a MFI PUEBLO daughter, RV BLACK DIMOND from RIVER VIEW ALPACAS. DIAMOND is bred to LENOX, an AUGUSTO son. These unions will just enhance our well-established breeding program, so if the inevitable happens and we have more little KINGDOM ALPACA studs we have set the genetics for that eventuality. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll break the pattern and be blessed with girls!
